The brief for this development was to increase production safety by facilitating clear communication combined with quality design. The solution was a four-colour signal lamp in a range of designs, made easily recognisable using RGB LEDs which can be seen clearly, even under extraneous light. Suitable for use in rugged industrial environments around protection class IP20 metal-processing machines.
The ecoline version of the DMG MORI signal lamp is an efficient, consistent derivation of the premium line. It was designed to offer an economical yet long-lasting, rugged, attractive signal lamp which ensures clear communication and top-level visibility in protection class IP20. The result is something to behold: the DMG MORI ecoline signal lamp.
A unique design under high cost pressure – that was the brief. So we produced this four-colour signal lamp for mounting on the wall, consisting of just one series of LEDs whose light is diverted and multiplied by means of a special Plexiglass body geometry. The result: less is more.
A broadly based, new machine design for United Grinding Group was to be augmented by its own, unmistakeable signal lamp. The designer’s strict specifications were tough to reconcile with technical feasibility when it came to diverting the light and reproducing true colours. Our answer was a four-colour signal lamp with a distinctive design.
The designer’s briefing involved various
design drafts involving voluminous, clear,
angular Plexiglas bodies.
We had to use reflected light to illuminate
the relatively large Plexiglas body
from a variety of angles.
The result was a three-colour ‘crystal’
luminaire with a stainless steel base
and a height of approximately 382 cm.
